In the Old Testament God either allowed the punishment of the sin in and of itself to take its course or He showed up got them to turn from their sin {repent}and prevented the punishment of their choice in sin. The choice was always up to the people. Choose Me & life{which is God's plan} or sin & desolation{which is always the plan of the enemy}. Sacrifice was blood to placate the Devil not God. Death, destruction and disease was and is never the plan of God. God longs only to bind up and heal the wounds inflicted by the enemy.
"Where will you be stricken again, As you continue in your rebellion? The whole head is sick And the whole heart is faint. From the sole of the foot even to the head There is nothing sound in it, Only bruises, welts and raw wounds, Not pressed out or bandaged, Nor softened with oil. Your land is desolate, Your cities are burned with fire, Your fields—strangers are devouring them in your presence; It is desolation, as overthrown by strangers. " Is. 1:5-7
"For the brokenness of the daughter of my people I am broken; I mourn, dismay has taken hold of me. Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has not the health of the daughter of my people been restored?" Jer 8:21-22

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something
ReplyDeletethat I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
